For some reason, I've just had very little desire to get out and run or to post in my blog for the last month. Have I lost my mojo? I haven't run at all this week, and I know I should get out and run today, but I just haven't found the motivation to do it.
The only thing I OFFICIALLY have on the calendar is the Ragnar Great River Relay on August 22-23. I was considering the Castle Rock Triathlon (sprint) on 7/26, but since I haven't been in a pool since last summer I'm thinking there's no way I'd be ready, even for a short 1/4 mile swim. I'm pretty sure I'll do the Devil's Challenge Triathlon (sprint) again this year on 9/14.

I've been feeling the same way, Collin. I find I need a goal to run, etc., especially since I've been having IT band problems, and have been focusing on getting my and my boyfriends' houses ready to sell... Blah blah blah. I have a sour taste in my mouth even though it was my fingers that typed the words above. How about some kind of friendly challenge between us to get us off our respective asses? ;o)
Colin - you have to keep signing up for races. it's the only way to stay motivated. DO IT NOW!
Carol beat me to it but I will say anyway.
You need to sign up for a race Colin and one not to far off.
Come on, now Collin - no slackers allowed. We are waiting to hear what you've signed up for!!!
Take some time, and you'll run and blog when you're ready...
If you are doing a triathlon on 9/14, you really out to start training for it now!!! I have trained for both running and triathon events simultaneously. What I do is I drop the running off the triathlon plan and follow a specific run plan. Then work the swimming and biking from the tri plan around the run plan. That's assuming the run event is more important. If the triathlon is more important, than just do the tri plan, but increase the running distances as needed for the run plan. Hope that all makes sense. BTW, I am not a coach, so I don't know if this is good advice!
