After 3+ days of pain and agony I'm finally starting to feel human again. I'd say I'm feeling about 90% recovered right now. The groin and knee have actually recovered very well, and the stiffness and soreness in my quads and calves is nearly gone. I'm almost feeling good enough to get out for a run, which is great.
Feeling good has made me realize that I need to start planning for my next accomplishment. Here's what I'm considering right now, with the most serious considerations first:
1) sprint triathlon
2) duathlon
3) another half marathon
4) a full marathon
5) Ironman (yeah, right!)
I haven't included 5K and 10K races on the list, because I'll certainly be throwing some of those into the plan and working on improving my times. I just don't know which item on the list I want to tackle next and how long I want to train before the event. I just know that I need to get started on another training plan soon.
This is what I'll ponder until I get out and run to see how I'm REALLY feeling. I'll wait until at least Friday to lace up the running shoes.

Evansville Duathlon is this weekend - it's everything you could every want in a du - hills, hills, more hills, probably some rain......
Feel free to join in on the fun!
I like your top 5 list. I would say the list is the same for me except #3 would be my first 1/2. And # 5 is a yeah right for me as well. But hey you never know.
Devil's Challenge Tri in Baraboo, WI is mid September. Great hills and a fairly shallow swim. Or Castle Rock in Adams Friendship, WI in mid July! Go for it!! We will be at both.
My brother in law did Devils last year - VERY challenging hill on the bike but the swim was easy - lots of folks walked the swim since water was just chest deep.
Dousman Duathlon is the same weekend too - Fun Race!
