I decided to visit a local running store today since I have over 200 miles on my Asics GT-2100 shoes. They inspected my feet, my pronation/supination, watched me walk and watched me run, and I ended up buying the shoes they recommended - Brooks Adrenaline GTS 7. They really think these will help with my knee problems. I ran an easy 2.5 in them tonight and once I adjust to the different feel I really think they will help.
I took it easy tonight and really didn't have any problems with my knee. Unfortunately, though, I'm starting to feel a little of the shin splint pain I had when I started running last June. As usual, though, the pain subsided after about 1.5 miles so it shouldn't cause me any problems for the Madison Half Marathon on the 27th.
