It's Official!

I did it! I actually registered for the Devil's Challenge Triathlon on September 15th! This will be my first, and it is a 1/4 mile swim, 15 mile bike, and 3 mile run. This will either be my last tri, or the first of many. We'll just have to see how it goes and how much I like it. Chances are good that it will be my first open water swim, so hopefully they haven't changed the swim course and I'll be able touch bottom the whole way as people have told me was the case last year.

I had a choice to register as "age group" or "novice" and I decided to go with "age group". I hope I didn't screw that up. It probably just means I'll get the shit beat out of me in the water, but I'm ready for a fight so it's all good. ;)

Now I need to make another tough decision. Do I REALLY want to run another half marathon on September 29th, or should I settle for running the 5 mile race like I did last year???

Where is this half mary on the 29th? I have been looking for something else to do because I really don't want to do the Janesville Half Mary and then the Duathlon the next day. Maybe I join you for the half on the 29th and skip the Janesville one?

Hey Bro. Just an FYI to maybe help you decide on the half.... There aren't very many folks that do this one. NOTHING like Madison for sure. Most people opt for the 5 mile since it's the end of the season for so many. The route is an out and back on French Island but you finish it on the parade route. Jon says skip it this year and focus on your Tri!!
