Sorry for the lack of updates in the last 2 weeks. I'm still alive and still training, but it's been a struggle. The week of August 6th, my 6 year old son had surgery to have his tonsils and adenoids removed, so I only got in 2 runs (2 and 6 miles), 1 bike (a quick ride on the stationary bike before a run), and 1 swim. This week I got in all 3 runs (2, 5, and 7 miles), another quick bike ride before one of my runs, and 1 swim.
Mentally, I'm losing the battle right now. It's taking a tremendous amount of mental coaxing to get out the door and do my training. With only 4 weeks to my first tri and 6 weeks to my 2nd half marathon my body feels great but my mind is weak. I'm having a hell of a time trying not to talk myself out of doing both of them. The running is going great, but my desire to swim and bike just isn't there right now. It's still a time thing for me.

Stay strong Bro (LIVESTRONG). I'm right there with you mentally but am pushing through it. Keep running. You r focus has been there and you are where you need to be for the half. (unlike your sister who opted out of the half!) You can use a good bike ride as a substitute for a shorter run... There's a way to save a day of training. Bike instead of that 2 mile run early in the week. Shoot for 10-15 road miles and a couple good hills.
