In a word, week 3 was AWESOME! I had planned to run a total of 9 miles and bike 33, but I ended up getting ambitious on the bike yesterday and went an extra 15 minutes, bringing my total miles on the bike for the week up to 38.
After that, I wasn't sure I'd be able to run 4 miles tonight, but I pulled that off as well. I even went 26 minutes straight at an 11:06 pace (2.3 miles), so I'm pleased with my progress on my pace and my endurance so far. Of course, the plan says I was supposed to go 4 miles at an 11:09 pace, so I still have some work to do, but I feel like I'm gaining on the plan quickly now. I ran 3.5 of the 4 miles tonight and it won't be long before I can run the whole distance on my long day.
My total time exercising this week was 4:20, which is more than half of the 8 hours I've exercised in the last 3 weeks! Next week the plan is nearly identical except I have to add a mile to my long run on Sunday and go 5 miles. I'm 100% convinced that riding the bike on my cross-training days is making the running easier, so I'm sure I will be able to pull it off if I add a few extra miles on the bike again this week. I'm shooting for running 10 miles and biking 43 this week.

Amazing how a little "down time" can make you feel so much better isn't it! I think the cold was my body's way of telling me to take it easy last week.
