Quick Update

Updating is easier when I keep up with my Twitter updates!

On Saturday I was in LaCrosse visiting my sister, her family, and my parents, and I
ran 8 miles on the Great River State Trail, checking out my first leg (leg 2) for the upcoming Great River Ragnar Relay. That same day, I did two open water swims totaling about 600 yards, because if I'm going to do the Devil's Challenge Triathlon in September I really need to start swimming and biking! It felt great to swim with my wetsuit without the pressure of a race. That's the first time I really got a feel for it, and I REALLY liked it.

Now I need to get used to my new bike shoes and Speedplay pedals, since they've been on the bike for 2 weeks and I still haven't been out for a ride!

I ran a quick 2 miles tonight. I don't have my plan in front of me, but I think I'm planning 2 more runs this week of 5-6 miles and 8-10 miles. Then another week of the same next week, maybe with an extra mile for runs 2 & 3. Then I'll take it pretty easy the week of Ragnar so I can run on "fresh" legs.

The HILLS are calling you!!! Get on that bike. You'll love the pedals. They give you some float and really help with your knees.

PS: When I bike, I look around, enjoy the scenery, and wave to people :-)
